Picture Perfect! The best spots in Amsterdam for a pic
Historic buildings surrounded by 165 canals, that's what gives Amsterdam its charm! That's also why Amsterdam should be walked but let me tell you, it can get overwhelming so I've decided to make a compilation of my favorite spots to snap the perfect postcard.
Damrak It's one of the principal avenues starting at Amsterdam Central until Dam Square converting into Rokin. The main attraction of this avenue is its canal, some of the touristic cruises start from here so you will see cruise boats parked around but you can perfectly take pictures from different points of the canal, and manage to avoid them as I show in my pictures. *While you are there don't forget to visit Tony Chocolonely's flagship store.
Dam Square Its Amsterdam's main square where you can find the Royal Palace and the National Monument. It is also surrounded by shops and you can also find the famous Madame Tussauds museum. Open in maps here.
Amsterdam Canals This picture was taken in Keizersgracht, which is one of the three main canals and the widest. I like this one because you can find along the canal several arched bridges that you would not want to miss. One of my favorite activities that I always recommend doing is walking along the main canals (Herengracht, Keizersgracht, and Prinsengracht) and enjoy the canal houses with their doorsteps, the multiple bridges, and the local shops or cafes out of the touristic center. *If you would like to know more about Amsterdam canals I highly recommend visiting the Museum of the canals

Museumplein An open space known for housing one of the major museums and most beautiful historical buildings: the Rijksmuseum along with the Van Gogh Museum, and the Stedelijk Museum. You can also find the iconic pond which often exposes different artworks, flowers, and even converts into a ski ring during the winter. Open in maps here.
*Other museums worth taking a look while there are MOCO Museum and the Diamond Museum.
Museumbrug Right on the other side of the Rijksmuseum building you will find a cute little bridge that makes a beautiful view with the beautiful building in the background. Open in maps here.
*NOTE: You will only find flowers around the city during springtime!
Spielgelgracht If you keep walking straight from museumbrug, you will get to Prinsengracht and will find another of my favorites views. Also, this road has a lot of art galleries and antique shops worth taking the time to look at. Open in maps here.
De Pijp Not only the trendiest neighborhood at this moment but it also has the most Instagrammable wall in Amsterdam and I'm going to give you the exact address here.
For a big street art fan like me, Amsterdam has been a challenge but If you are a fan like me, I've good news: Amsterdam Noord! You can take the free ferry to NDSM Werf and find cool pieces like these. Open in maps here.
I hope you liked it and find this list useful and if you do remember to save and share! I also love to see your pictures so if you go to any of these locations I would appreciate it if you tag me. Thanks for reading and happy snapping!
